Neopol Savory Smokery

Neopol owner Barbara Lahnstein’s foray into the world of smoked delicacies began when she was a young child living in Germany. After watching a group of Scandinavians prepare smoked herring during a family vacation, she was hooked. A constant presence at farmers’ markets throughout the Baltimore area, Barbara stocks Neopol with smoked seafood, cheeses, poultry, game and of course, her legendary savory cheese pies. Using all natural, primarily locally grown ingredients smoked in high-quality woods, Barbara takes her smoked creations to an art form.
